Spadafore will oversee Reconnex’s worldwide sales force and is responsible for sales efforts, partnerships and working with product development divisions, as well as establishing Reconnex as a prominent innovator in the security industry. Spadafore believes strongly in building partnerships that are based on solving real business problems for customers and has a proven track record of bringing people and organizations together for mutual benefit. Additionally, he will lead Reconnex in identifying potential customers in the government, financial and technology sectors who need to protect confidential data within their corporate networks. Prior to joining Reconnex, Spadafore was an executive vice president at GreenBorder Technology, a venture-funded company providing content security to Fortune 1000, government and education enterprises. In this role, he provided strategic vision on all aspects of product direction, developed an extensive client base, and helped the company successfully secure $12 million in funding.
Prior to working for GreenBorder Technology, Spadafore was executive vice president at Brightmail, Inc., a market leader for anti-spam, antivirus and mobile messaging products. Spadafore directed the company to its next stages of growth through leadership of worldwide sales, marketing, business and channel development, system engineering and customer care. In this role, he provided strategic vision, defined customer requirements for product development and negotiated and developed channel programs, while accelerating revenue/bookings from $1.5M to $12M in one year by restructuring resources, focusing on deployment/installation procedures and ensuring high levels of product effectiveness and customer satisfaction. He successfully positioned Brightmail for its IPO growth stage by doubling sales/revenues, entering European and wireless markets and forging new strategic partnerships with Symantec and Critical Path.
